2 days agoWhile Overwatch is no longer playable Overwatch 2 is scheduled to launch as as free to play title on October 4 at 3pm EDT. Thats when the Overwatch 2 servers should be up and running. Service for Overwatch 2 is expected to begin at approximately 12pm PT 3pm ET 8pm BST 9pm CEST on October 4.

It seems the launch hasnt gone. 1 day agoOverwatch 2s launch has been relatively rough as players have experienced frequent disconnects from the games servers. Since the game has just launched the servers are pretty congested at the moment and youll likely have to wait in queue for a while before.

1 day agoOverwatch 2s PvE mode will also be rolled out next year at a later date. Bear in mind though that timing is not set in stone. Fans of the first Overwatch game are going to have to get ready to say good-bye to the game that started it all at 9 am.

1 day agoOverwatch 2 is here sort of. The Overwatch 2 servers come online on October 4. Its never fun to launch a game and get hit by a massive Direct Denial of Service DDoS attack that same day but thats what Blizzard is.

1 day agoThe team will post updates on the current status of Overwatch 2s servers. 18 hours agoOverwatch 2 developers including Aaron Keller have taken to Twitter stating that a DDoS attack a type of cyber attack that sends a lot of fake traffic to an online service to clog. Its worth noting players will no longer be able to access Overwatch.

15 hours agoUnfortunately Overwatch 2 still seems to be suffering from DDoS attacks if that is indeed the root of the games most significant server issues. 12 hours agoIt might be hard to connect right now but at least Overwatch players have something to truly look forward to when the Overwatch 2 servers are back up and running. For those unaware the Overwatch 2 launch time is set.

1 day agoBlizzard president Mike Ybarra shared that the Overwatch 2 servers are under a mass DDoS attack and that the teams are working to mitigate the damage. Overwatch 2 is currently in Early Access and free-to-play for PC PS4 PS5 Switch Xbox. There could be a glitch that causes a delay but heres hoping that doesn.
